Infrastructure As an Outside Plant Engineer, I Survey, Design,
Draft, and Engineer all aspects of Outside Plant for Communications for
Military and Commercial. This includes infrastructure of Aerial, Direct
Buried, and Underground Plant. Determine routing, location, and sizing of
pole lines, vaults, conduit/manhole systems, and direct buried systems from
the office to the end user buildings. Size and design Main Distribution
Frames for Copper Plant, (MDF) and Information Distribution Frames for Fiber
Optic Plant (IDF) at the Main Communication Nodes (DCO/RSU) and Area
Distribution Nodes (MCN/ADN). Determine sizes of terminals and patch panels
at the end user building communication closets. Premise wiring from the
communication closets to the desk top and other locations within the
building. Survey and determine cable sizes for feeder and distribution and
set up the cable counts that are needed for both copper and fiber. I am capable of drafting with AutoCadLt and
providing Data Spread Sheets that are pertinent to the Project. Set up Cable
Transfers from existing to new, new to existing and existing to existing
cables and counts of both copper and fiber cables. Provide Cutover Sheets
when required and am capable of setting up Splicing sequences for
Projects. QA inspector on different projects to make sure
that construction is done right and completed according to Specifications and
to the Guidelines that are provided. Have QA’d drawings to make sure they are
up to standards. I have been a lead, as well as a team member for
different projects and have completed the task’s that were assigned with
focus on completing the Projects correctly and in a timely manner. Assisted
others installing inside communications CAT5 drops to the desk, terminating
these drops at the desk, and at the patch panels in the Tele Closet. Completed
floor plan layout (including cubicles) by AutoCadLt and produced the data
sheets that coincide with the terminations. The past seventeen (17) years, I have worked with
ISEC CONUS, (the US. Army Information Systems Engineering Command) on many
multi-million dollar projects. As a Team Member, I have consulted with many
Officials, (both Military and Government) as well as the Contractors,
(Integrators) and Sub-Contractors to complete my objective.
